The StarTrekWorld Network is a community of DC (Direct Connect) hubs for Star Trek fans. Since the creation of StarTrekWorld <Main> in October of 2001, the network has grown to include a number of hubs, an IRC channel and this web site. We are active in the development and testing of new Direct Connect software and technologies. Our international members consist of fans of sci-fi from all generations, and those just getting into it. We hope to bring together new fans of sci-fi, be it movies, TV or books. All are welcome, encouraged and invited to join us

Ho Ho Ho Update 10:08 - Thu, Dec 22, 2005

Hey all, it's been a while so I thought I'd give you some news on what I've been doing. I've just recently got the IRC link to our hubs working and rather stable again, so if you are into IRC or would like to start serving in our channel, visit #startrekworld on irc.Scifi-fans.net. I also got the Web chat working again, just click chat on the menu at the top. It's a bit wonky so if when you click the connect button and there are no users in the list after it says connected, click disconnect and repeat the connecting process and it should work. You also may get a flash security warning, you'll need to click allow. It's not been the greatest year, with no more Star Trek for our users to look forward to, but SG1 and BSG will be starting up soon again so tell your friends and lets get chatting! Also, Merry Whatever :-)

STWX problems 08:41 - Fri, Nov 25, 2005

Sorry to all who have had problems connecting to Startrekworld X in the last week or so. I've made some changes to my network at home. That means new ips and DNS taking too long to update for my liking. If you'd like, you can use stwx.no-ip.org to connect, until the proper address starts working again (or forever, I don't intend to remove no-ip). Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends in the US.

Done it again 08:55 - Wed, Oct 12, 2005

Well, after screwing up the last installation of this web server, I seem to have it fixed again. The box got a bit of an upgrade too (better processor, talking motherboard ;-)). Anyways, it should all be working again. I'll work on updating some of the pages soon.
